State park presents ‘Predators of Land, Air, and Sea’

Myrtle Beach State Park will put some special animals in the spotlight for “Predators of Land, Air, and Sea” spread across the park on Saturday with this schedule:

“Pier Sharks,” 10-11 a.m. in the activity center; “Live Raptors in Flight” 1-2 p.m. in the overflow parking lot, with demonstrations by Center for Birds of Prey, from Awendaw (843-971-7474 or www.thecenterforbirdsofprey.org; and “Snakes and Lizards,” 3-4 p.m. in the nature center.

Most events are free with park admission – $5 ages 16 and older, $3.25 S.C. seniors, $3 ages 6-15 – and to help area needy individuals, bring two canned food items per person for raptor show access.

Find the park, which also has numerous nature programs weekly this month, on U.S. 17 Business (South Kings Highway), one mile south of Ocean Boulevard and Farrow Parkway, across from Seagate Village.
