Four-pronoun play title opens Atlantic Stage’s ninth season

Atlantic Stage opens its ninth season of professional theater, and in its second year at Myrtle Beach Mall, at U.S. 17 and S.C. 22, near Briarcliffe Acres, and next door to Bath and Body Works, near Bass Pro Shops, and across from Carolina Improv Company’s Uptown Theater.

All shows are 7:30 p.m. Thursdays-Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays, also with dialogues with actors, after the first and second Sunday matinees for each play: “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike,” through Oct. 23; “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” Nov. 25-Dec. 18; “A Thing with Feathers” world premiere, Jan. 27-Feb. 19; “The Subject Was Roses,” March 24-April 16; and “K2,” May 19-June 11.

‘Kaleidescopika’ starts Brunswick Community College concert slate

Brunswick Community College opens its 2016-17 Performing Art Series with a “Kaleidescopika,” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, in the campus’ Odell Williamson Auditorium, off U.S. 17 in Supply, N.C.
