In the annual list of businesses voted the Best of the Beach, some names appear again and again. These are the places tourists will make time to visit during their vacations and locals frequent throughout the year.

Almost all of these Grand Strand favorites have been around for quite a few years, so each is doing something right, and they only continue to improve.

If you’re looking for family fun at the beach, try The Family Kingdom Amusement Park and Mount Atlanticus Miniature Golf in the downtown Myrtle Beach area. Broadway at the Beach is a popular choice for not just shopping, but amusement and entertainment for all ages. The famous annual festivals of the area are all impressive, but none quite so much as the Blue Crab Festival.

Being on the Grand Strand also means being on the hunt for good food, no matter who you are.

Check out Gulfstream Café and Sea Captain’s House, both waterfront restaurants known for their views and fresh seafood. Miyabi is famous for its seafood too, only they prefer it raw at this sushi house.

Or if turf is what you prefer, Angelo’s has the best steak in the universe and River City Café is all about the burger. Great surf and turf will be found at Damon’s, so you can enjoy some award winning ribs and enjoy a beautiful view.

For smaller, more casual options, take a look at Little Pigs and Sam’s Corner, where you can get some delicious grub at great prices. To top it off, Painter’s, a favorite with North Myrtle Beach native Vanna White, has homemade ice cream to melt anyone’s sweet tooth.

There are plenty of date spots to be found as well. Collector’s Café is half art museum and half fancy restaurant, while the Melting Pot is a literal melting pot of delicious food to be dipped in whatever your heart desires.

If you’re interested in sports, visit Dagwood’s after spending the day on the courses at Caledonia.

No matter what floats your boat, you’re sure to find it on the Grand Strand. Not all of the treasures of the beach could be included, but we hope this list will get you and yours started on a grand adventure.
