Myrtle Beach Freedom indoor football team switches leagues

The Myrtle Beach Freedom professional indoor football team has joined the American Indoor Football league.

The organization switched from the X-League, which ceased operations.

The AIF is going into its 10th season.

The Freedom plan to begin playing their games at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center starting in March.

The Freedom will make an official announcement on Wednesday, when they will also announce their first coach.

Dance team tryouts are scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
