PARADE
WWII vet: I won’t back down. Will you?
Open letter to all veterans and all Americans:
I am a disabled World War II veteran, and I intend to march down Ocean Boulevard, carrying the American flag, on Memorial Day, May 23 to honor the men and women who gave their lives that we may live in freedom.
I might be pushed aside by gutless Myrtle Beach officials because I am not very strong physically, at 87 years of age, but we didn't back down 71 years ago, and I will not back down now.
Who will join me and help me along the way?
Jack Platt
