Update: Victim identified in deadly shooting at Fountainbleau Inn in Myrtle Beach

A man was shot to death early Friday morning at the FountainBleau Inn at the intersection of Flagg Street and Seventh Avenue North in Myrtle Beach.

Pierre Allen, 23, of Andrews was transported to Grand Strand Medical Center where he died at 2:45 a.m. from mass trauma from a gunshot, according to Darris Fowler, deputy coroner with Horry County.

Myrtle Beach police were called about 2:12 a.m. Friday, along with Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue, and officers said one person was shot. Police found one victim and attempted to do CPR, according to Lt. Joey Crosby with Myrtle Beach police.

Officials have not confirmed whether the shooting is related to Atlantic Beach Bikefest. Hundreds of thousands of visitors come to the area during Memorial Day weekend for Bikefest or to take advantage of the long holiday weekend.

The FountainBleau Inn was also the site where a shooting happened during Atlantic Beach Bikefest in 2014, and one person has been charged in that shooting.

No suspects have been identified in Friday’s fatal shooting, and Myrtle Beach police are continuing to investigate. City surveillance cameras captured images of a possible suspect vehicle, and police plan to release those images later after further investigation, authorities said.

Anyone with any information about this incident is urged to contact the Myrtle Beach Police Department at 843-918-1382.
