HCPD: Suspect snatched purse from victim’s cart at Wal-Mart

Horry County police officers are investigating a purse snatching.

About 7 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to the Wal-Mart at 10820 Kings Road in Myrtle Beach.

According to the police report, a 63-year-old woman told officers that as she was loading her bags into the car the suspect got out of a white car and grabbed her purse out of the shopping cart. She tried to hold on to the purse, but the suspect was able to pull it out of her hands.

The car is described as a white Chevrolet Cavalier with black wheels.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5 feet 10 inches about 160 lbs.
