Andrews man wanted in connection with murder arrested
An Andrews man wanted in connection with murder was taken into police custody Tuesday, authorities said.
Devon Coombs, 18, was arrested and charged with murder and is being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center, where he awaits a bond hearing, police said.
Coombs is being charged in connection with the death of James Miller, 42, of Andrews, who was shot and killed April 26.
Officers responded to the 300 block of Jones Avenue at about 1 a.m. in response to a report of shots fired, according to a police press release. Once on the scene, officers found Miller lying in the roadway.
Miller was shot multiple times in the torso area and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
