Andrews police searching for man wanted on murder charges
The Andrews Police Department is trying to locate a teen in connection with the early Sunday shooting death of a man.
Police have issued warrants for Devin Coombs, 19, of Andrews and plan to charge him with murder, Capt. Melvyn Garrett said.
James Miller, 42, of Andrews was shot and killed Sunday.
Officers responded to the 300 block of Jones Avenue at around 1 a.m. in response to a report of shots fired, according to a police press release. Once on the scene officers found Miller lying in the roadway.
Miller was shot multiple times in the torso area and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Police say Coombs should be considered “armed and extremely dangerous.” Anyone who sees him should call 911.
