A second man has died from a fatal vehicle crash last week in Loris.

Miles Waddell, 17, died Tuesday morning of multiple trauma from a crash on Monday, Dec. 22 said Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler.

His brother, Christopher Waddell, 26, was killed in the crash. Both men were from Loris.

Miles Waddell was taken to Grand Strand Medical Center after the crash and kept in intensive care until Tuesday morning, when he dies, Fowler said.

A Loris man was charged in connection with a fatal crash that killed a passenger in one of the two cars, according to authorities.

Craig Austin Livingston, 32, of Loris, was booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center at 1:20 a.m. Dec. 23 on charges of felony driving under the influence with great bodily injury, felony DUI with death results and open container of beer/wine in a vehicle, according to jail records.

On Dec. 22, a 1998 Ford Explorer was traveling south on Red Bluff Road about 8:15 p.m. Monday when Livingston crossed the center line and struck a 2007 Jeep Cherokee that was traveling north, highway patrol Cpl. Sonny Collins said.

Livingston remains jailed at 4 p.m. Tuesday, according to court records.

Livingston was taken to a local hospital before he was taken to jail and Collins said troopers continue to investigate the crash.
