Sidney Moorer takes a break in a pretrial hearing on Monday, April 18, 2016, at the Horry County Courthouse in Conway. Moorer and his wife Tammy are charged with kidnapping and obstruction of justice involving the case of Heather Elvis. The hearing is about suppressing expert witness testimony about video analysis that may show a truck belonging to the Moorers in the vicinity of Peachtree Landing on the night Elvis was last seen in December 2013. The Moorers were facing murder charges relating to the Elvis case, but the charges were dropped in March. A June trial date has been set on the remaining charges.
