One person dead following fiery three-vehicle crash on S.C. 90 in Conway area

One person died and others were injured in a wreck on S.C. 90 on Saturday morning, according to Horry County Deputy Coroner Patty Bellamy.

Horry County Fire Rescue announced Saturday morning that Highway 90 would be shut down for an extended period of time following a three-vehicle wreck in which one of them caught fire. HCFR received the call at 6:15 a.m. for a wreck near 6300 S.C. 90 in the Conway area of Horry County.

Horry County Fire Rescue reported multiple injuries and asked drivers to avoid the area.

The coroner’s office had not released the name of the person who died in the crash as of 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and Horry County police also responded to the crash.
