One person in critical condition after car goes into pond in Surfside area, officials say
Horry County Fire Rescue pulled one person out of a vehicle that crashed into a pond in the Surfside area Wednesday night, according to the department.
The person in the car was hospitalized with critical injuries, according to HCFR.
Crews were called to 2730 Beaver Run Blvd. in reference to a car underwater in a pond about 10 p.m.
An HCFR dive team is investigating.
