Myrtle Beach firefighters fought a car fire Monday morning that spread to a nearby scrap trailer.

Crews were on scene at Waccamaw Recycling Center on Stockholder Avenue.

Myrtle Beach fire officials asked people to avoid the area.

Myrtle Beach fire spokesman Lt. Jonathan Evans said there were no injuries.

The fire is under investigation.
