Crews respond to two house fires in Myrtle Beach
Myrtle Beach Fire and Rescue crews are fighting fires at two neighboring homes on 78th Avenue North.
The blaze started in an unoccupied home and spread to a second, unoccupied home, Lt. Jonathan Evans said. Firefighters were first called to the scene around 10 p.m. near Beach Drive.
The first home to catch fire was under construction.
There is heavy smoke in the area and some visible flames. Roads around the scene are closed while crews fight the fires.
