Fall Bike Week kicks off Monday

Fall bike week, filled with parties and gatherings along the Grand Strand, continues through Oct. 2.

Bikers who typically come to Myrtle Beach for the spring rally make their trip to the area in the fall. Crowds, typically, are a lot smaller than the spring.

St. John’s Greek Fest is next weekend

The St. John’s Greek Festival begins Thursday and runs through Sunday on the campus of St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 3301 33rd Avenue North, in Myrtle Beach.

Food, as well as arts and crafts, vendors will be on hand for the entire event.

Barbecue cook-off set for next weekend at Lakewood

If a weekend full of barbecue, live music and silent auctions sounds like a good time to you, mark your calendars for Lakewood Camping Resort’s Third Annual Grillers Cup Hot Pickin’, Finger Lick’n BBQ Cook-Off Sept. 30-Oct. 1.

All proceeds of the cook-off, which is sanctioned by the South Carolina Barbeque Association (SCBA), will once again benefit local nonprofit Backpack Buddies of Horry County.

Conway Fall Festival starts Saturday

Don’t miss the 7th Annual Conway Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. in beautiful downtown Conway. The festival will be held on 3rd Avenue and Laurel Streets. Plenty of arts, crafts and food vendors will be on hand.

Blessing of the Animals Sunday

Blessing of the Animals will be at Church of the Resurrection, 8901 U.S. 17 Bypass, Surfside Beach, on Sunday, Oct. 2 during services at 7:45 a.m., 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Everyone is invited to bring their pets to church with them, properly caged or leashed. Therapy horses from the Barnabas Horse Foundation will also be present.

For those with allergies there will have a pet free zone available as well.

Mustang Club of America Returns to the Grand Strand next weekend

The 6th annual Grand Strand National Mustang Stampede hosted by the Coastal Carolina Mustang Club will kick off Friday.

Taking place at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center Friday through Sunday , the National Mustang Stampede is presented by the Mustang Club of America (MCA), celebrating its 40th anniversary since its first meeting in 1976 with only 10 members. Today, MCA has more than 30 sponsors nationwide, 170 regional clubs, and 40,000 members.

Speakers include Jeff Mays, president of the Mustang Club of America and JB Buell, president of the Coastal Carolina Mustang Club.
