New stores coming to Coastal North Town Center
One of the Grand Strand’s newest shopping centers is expanding already.
Less than a year after its debut, Coastal North Town Center in North Myrtle Beach has bought roughly four acres for its second phase that will consist of two buildings with a combined 15,800 square feet. World of Beer, Aspen Dental and Mattress Firm will move into the new phase, which is expected to open in March, officials said. Mission BBQ also is listed as a tenant for the new phase, according to the city of North Myrtle Beach.
“Coastal North’s high-traffic location along a popular corridor for tourists and residents alike has made it a destination shopping and dining experience for the North Myrtle Beach community,” said Nick Telesca, president of Branch Properties, which developed the shopping center with RealtyLink. “We are excited to build on the success of Phase I with this additional offering.”
The roughly 311,000-square-foot Coastal North debuted nearly a year ago off U.S. 17 with the area’s first Hobby Lobby and Publix grocery store (though another Publix has since opened in Pawleys Island and more are in the works). Other Coastal North tenants include Dick’s Sporting Goods, Ross Dress for Less, TJ Maxx, PetSmart, Ulta, Rack Room Shoes and Chipotle Mexican Grill.
Coastal North is just north of Gator Hole Plaza on the former Robbers Roost golf course.
