Conway (2-3) at Myrtle Beach (4-0)

The game | Conway did itself a huge favor last week when it put up 42 points in a win over Marlboro County. In throwing for 300-plus yards, the Tigers have now made sure that Myrtle Beach can’t simply focus on Conway quarterback Mykal Moody taking off and running like he did a year ago against the Seahawks. In that game, a 21-12 Conway victory, Moody had touchdown runs of 92 and 65 yards. This year, however, Moody is actually throwing at a more effective rate than he is running it. Receivers Malcolm Green, Bryan Edwards and Jordan Sawyer, as well as tight end Kahmil Cooper, give opponents much more to think about. As it has been all season, though, Moody’s ability to throw the ball relies on him not scrambling the entire game. The Conway offensive line is going to have its work cut out for it. If it doesn’t succeed in holding off a strong Myrtle Beach front seven, all those weapons on the outside aren’t going to make much of a difference.
