South Florence (3-0) at Myrtle Beach (2-0)
When | 7:30 p.m.
The game | When you average 45 points per game, people are going to notice. And while South Florence has also raced out to a 94-3 first-half advantage over its first three opponents, it’s overshadowing a defense that in another scenario would be getting more looks. Sound familiar? In years’ past, Myrtle Beach’s defense has played solid ball, only to play the role of forgotten son behind coach Mickey Wilson’s high-flying offense. Depending on the health of some of the Seahawks’ main parts, Wilson’s team could get into a shootout with the Bruins. More than likely, though, this is going to have the look of a throwback game that has fans of low-scoring games foaming at the mouth. South Florence is the best team Myrtle Beach has played so far, and vice versa. The Seahawks have won the last two meetings between these two teams by a total of just eight points. And don’t count on a blowout tonight, either.
