Seth Truesdale tossed two touchdown passes in the first half to give undefeated Chesterfield an early lead as the Rams captured their third consecutive Class A, Division I state championship Friday with a 36-6 win over Lamar.
The Rams and coach Steve Taneyhill took their third title in four years and extended their winning streak to 24 games.
Lamar trailed 20-0 at the half and never got closer..
Truesdale threw a 30-yard pass to Josh McCall to score in the first period and a 25-yard pass to Sergio Johnson in the second. In the third, Jonathan Murvin intercepted a pass and ran 23 yards to score.

Class A Division II
Williston-Elko 34, Scott's Branch 26 | Dexter Staley scored three touchdowns in the second half to lead Williston-Elko to a state title.
The Blue Devils finished the season undefeated, as their 14th win took the title from the team that beat them 14-6 in last year's final.
Staley finished with 145 yards on 17 carries. His last touchdown came on a 47-yard run with 25 seconds left in the game.
Scott's Branch's Clarence Singleton scored all the Eagles' touchdowns, scoring on runs of 23, 43 and 11 yards.
