(At) Socastee 21, West Brunswick (N.C.) 17 (final) | Socastee sophomore Michquan Brown broke a 41-yard scoring run with 5:12 left to put the Braves back in front 21-17.

With 6:17 to go in the game, West Brunswick's Maverick Pate bulled his way into the end zone from the 1-yard line and added the two-point conversion after Socastee muffed a punt at its 19-yard line and the Trojans took the lead with 6:17 left in the game. Socastee senior quarterback Zack Elliman had a 13-yard touchdown run with 46 seconds left in the first half to extend the Braves' lead to 14-6 at the midway point. Elliman scored on a 55-yard run during the first quarter, which was played Friday night. The game was suspended Friday due to lightning in the area at the 10:17 mark of the second quarter. It was resumed at that point at 2 p.m. Saturday. West Brunswick's touchdown came on a Socastee fumble in the end zone. Senior defensive end Dylan Bowman recovered the lose ball early in the second quarter just prior to the suspension of the game. West Brunswick got a 29-yard field goal from Corey Bell midway through the third quarter.

(At) Myrtle Beach 49, Carolina Forest 0 (final) | Everett Golson threw four touchdown passes and Daiquone Ford ran for three scores as the Seahawks routed the Panthers.

Waccamaw 19, (at) St. James 14 (final) | Waccamaw's John Gibbs broke free on a 53-yard scoring run to give the Warriors the lead midway through the fourth quarter and Waccamaw opened its season with a win over the Sharks.
