Myrtle Beach punctuated its purposeful run to the Class AAA state title on Saturday, dominating Chester in a 31-21 win that gave the Seahawks their fifth state championship and first since 1984.
The Seahawks rushed for 190 yards and threw for 231 yards in one of their most complete offensive efforts of the year.
Everett Golson was dynamic, completing 17-of-26 passes for 231 yards and three scores. He also rushed for 30 yards and executed the option to perfection.
