Every golfer has tendencies when it comes to ball flight. You either hook it or slice it. Some golfers will tell me they miss it both ways, but when they hit some shots, especially with their longer clubs, soon I will make them aware of their tendencies.
The key point here is to play your shot shape on the golf course. If your friend says, “Hey, do you know you are aiming way left?” Tell them “Yes I do, because it is going to curve about 30 yards right.” Why would you aim “straight” if you don’t hit it straight? Make sure you know where you are aimed and look at where you are aimed, not where the ball will end up.
