Knowing your distances
To make good decisions on the golf course you must know how far you hit with each golf club. There is no room for an ego here. It is what it is. A good way to find out how far you hit each club is to go to the golf course by yourself and start on the driver.
Hit five drives. By simply doing some math you can determine how far each golf ball went by how long the hole is and how far you are away from the green. Take the average of these shots and you now know your distance with a driver. As you go around the course lay five golf balls down from different distances from the green. The averages of the five shots will give you a good idea of the distance you hit each shot. Don’t forget to do the same with your wedges as they will more than likely be a club you will use on a lot of holes.
