Zack Byrd of Murrells Inlet and Yoshio Yamamoto of Myrtle Beach are competing Tuesday through Friday in the First Stage of the Web.com Tour Qualifying Tournament.
Byrd is at St. John’s Golf & Country Club in St. Augustine, Fla., and Yamamoto is at Pinewild Country Club in Pinehurst, N.C.
Patrick Lundy of Little River and Coastal Carolina alumnus Charlie Winegardner of Lothian, Md., have already advanced through First Stage and will be assigned one of six Second Stage sites next Tuesday. The Second Stage will be played between Nov. 11-21.
First and Second Stages are 72 holes with fields of approximately 78 players. The final stage is scheduled for PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., from Dec. 11-16. It is 108 holes over six days, with an expected field of 156. Each player in the final stage earns some Web.com Tour access, with their finish dictating their eligibility position for the 2015 season.
