NBA Fans Calling For Victor Wembanyama To Face Discipline For Dirty Foul
San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama got away with an egregious foul during Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
The Spurs entered Monday night's game with a sense of urgency after dropping the first two games of the series at home. They had a golden opportunity to win Game 2 and even up the series, but Wembanyama had a costly turnover and a missed jumper that sealed his team's fate.
Apparently, Wembanyama is going to do everything in his power to ensure his team doesn't go down 0-3. ESPN's camera crew caught the All-Star shoving New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson in the first quarter.
Despite committing a blatant flagrant foul, Wembanyama wasn't disciplined by Game 3's officiating crew. Fans aired out their complaints about the refs online.
"Wembanyama should of have been ejected for throwing Brunson down," one fan commented. "And he's laughing about it. Refs going the Spurs way."
"The easiest flagrant foul in the history of flagrant fouls," a second fan wrote. "No call."
"NBAs golden boy gets a free pass for anything," a third fan said.
"If this was Draymond Green, he'd be suspended for several games," another fan declared.
There's history when it comes to Wemby in the playoffs.
During the second round of this year's playoffs, Wembanyama was ejected for throwing an elbow at Minnesota Timberwolves forward Naz Reid.
Wembanyama was also caught telling Mason Plumlee and Bismack Biyombo something during Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals. They would go on to commit hard fouls on Oklahoma City Thunder guard Jared McCain.
As for the NBA Finals, Wembanyama was caught taking a shot at Knicks guard Jose Alvarado in Game 2.
If Wembanyama wants to avoid being labeled a dirty player, he's got to stop making questionable decisions on the court.
