Horry County trash services

Horry County does not provide curbside trash pick-up services. The Horry County Solid Waste Authority as well as about a dozen private haulers contract with neighborhoods in unincorporated areas of the county and charge monthly or quarterly fees depending on the location. Residents who can contact their local towns or cities can call those local governments for trash pick-up questions and schedules.

Recycling

There are 24 recycling centers located throughout the county that accept cardboard, co-mingled recyclables, newspaper, and at some locations, batteries, electronics and household hazardous waste.
