Horry-Georgetown Technical College
The school is a comprehensive technical and community college located on three campuses, with Conway as the original and main campus. Enrollment: Approximately 8,000.
Degrees | Degrees in more than 70 programs of study; also offers professional certificates and diplomas in health services and industrial trades; the college also offers a variety of continuing education classes from cooking to computer repair.

Coastal Carolina University
The school’s fall 2012 enrollment is approximately 9,300. The school opened as a branch of the College of Charleston in 1954 and became independent in 1958. It became a regional campus of the University of South Carolina in 1960 but gained independent status in 1993.
Degrees | The university offers 55 academic programs for baccalaureate degrees, with new programs this year in biochemistry, economics, graphic design, information systems and theater arts. There are seven master’s degree, and the school’s first doctroate program – in marine science – is expected to start in fall 2013, pending approval from the S.C. Commission on Higher Education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Brunswick Community College
The two-year public educational institution, chartered in 1979, offers a range of academic programs. Enrollment: Around 1,500.

The private, not-for-profit school has had a campus in Myrtle Beach since 1976. It also offers classes online and at more than 100 distinct locations in the United States, Europe and Asia.
