Support new station
for Burgess community
Adding a new fire station in the Burgess Community is essential to improve response time for both fire and rescue calls by an estimated 3 to 5 minutes. Our population has grown from about 3,000 in 1990 to about 25,000 in 2010 and is still growing.
The only way to make this happen is to vote yes on the March 17 Murrells Inlet-Garden City Fire District referendum.
For an owner-occupied average home the millage increase would cost about $3 per month compared to an increase in insurance premiums of $230 or more per year if the District's Fire Protection Classification (ISO rating) was downgraded.
Your opinion will not count unless you vote.
