My husband and I just visited Myrtle Beach and while there saw the current exhibits at the Chapin Art Museum at Springmaid Beach. Both exhibits were excellent, but what absolutely dazzled me were the arts and crafts of the Vietnam artist Binh Pho.
They are unlike anything I’ve ever seen and are breathtaking in their beauty and craftsmanship. I strongly urge everyone to see these exhibits.

A tip for picking
candidates in 2016
At the age of 67, I, like all concerned Americans have cast my vote for 50 straight years and have seen the continued ineffectiveness of government.
This year I used an easy method to select my candidates. I chose to vote only for candidates who did not disturb my life by persistent robocalls. I figured that anyone who continued to annoy me did not deserve my vote. It cut down the overall field considerably.
Area road planners
When on U.S. 17 Bypass approaching the new back gate overpass, the directional signs say “South Socastee.” Socastee is west of the former back gate, not south. You only go south once you have passed Socastee and are heading towards Murrells Inlet.
No surprise as most government officials and bureaucrats have no idea which way to turn.
Gun bans show
disrespect to many
Here’s some business advice. Many retired military and law enforcement people live in South Carolina and when we see “No concealed weapons” signs on a business, you insult our training and service.
Apparently the law allows you to discriminate against legal gun owners. Leave your politics at home. We have the right to shop at a store that does not have a no-gun policy.
