I have known Vida Miller for more than 30 years. Her community service and dedication span from local boards and commissions to elected positions. Vida works hard to make this community a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family.
Knowing Vida as I do, she would never use her position for personal gain. Her community service has been a sacrifice of time and energy and a giving back to the community that she loves.
Vida’s past record shows a solid commitment of introducing and cosponsoring legislation that benefited her district and her state. She secured funding for the Parkersville Center, improvements to city and county recreation facilities and boat landings, and funding for Highway 521.
Vida was instrumental in obtaining funds for the Waverly bike path and has consistently supported funding for educational facilities in her district. She has always given credit to everyone involved knowing that nothing is accomplished without cooperation and communication.
Vida believes that local small business deserves the same benefits and incentives that are offered to large corporations moving to our state. She believes that we need strong ethics reform that will hold legislators accountable to their constituents.
Vida believes that investing in education is the key to our district’s future. Let’s send someone to Columbia who has demonstrated her ability to listen and work with all of District 108.
