Never has there been such coverage for local readers of the major golf tournaments played in this region. Alan Blondin did an outstanding job of giving us, the readers, a complete view of not only each round of play almost to the shot.
Also, the behind-the-scenes stories were as alive as if one were sitting there with him.
Give some thought to the time span that Alan has been through to bring us this coverage. Starting with the Masters in April, next week at Hilton Head for the Heritage then on to Quail Hollow in Charlotte for another week of coverage.
Then the two weeks in Pinehurst for the men's and women's USGA Opens. Great coverage for both tourneys. Then back to Myrtle Beach to cover the The PGA National Club Pro Championship.
