On June 7, the Myrtle Beach Corvette Club held it's 19th annual "Corvettes at Myrtle Beach" all Corvette car show at Broadway at the Beach. Our show is for the benefit of local charities who this year were: Veterans Welcome Home and Resource Center, and Canine Angels.
Both are local to the area and are dedicated to assisting our veterans in need. This years show had 306 Corvettes entered and the furthest traveled was from Star, Idaho. This was our largest and most successful show yet and, once the final accounting has been done, should have raised over $25,000 to be shared by these two worthy causes.
I am once again, as president of the club, humbled by the tireless dedication and determination of our members who make this show happen and am deeply indebted to the many local businesses and national sponsors for their continued support and generous contributions toward our efforts.
It takes a lot of people to make a show of this size a success and I thank you all. This show has become quite a local attraction based on the car entries and local tourist interest. We are happy to be able to provide a means to raise funds for our community charities and look forward to even greater success in the coming years.
