My wife and I were delighted when the Veterans Café and Mini Museum reopened on May 13 at the Northgate Shopping Center. We had been stopping by several times during April and May to check on status, especially since the move was severely hampered by a persistent roof leak that brought interior remodeling to a halt for more than three weeks.
The relocation and preparation of the cafe was truly a labor of love for the many individuals who volunteered time and effort to help Mash and Rhonda prepare for an opening that seemed to drag on for far too long. A special thanks to Home Depot for constructing a meeting room within the facility and shelving to allow museum items to be displayed effectively.
We encourage everyone to stop by to see the new Veterans Cafe and Mini Museum. There is a wealth of veterans’ memorabilia and you can enjoy a great meal as well.
