We have all heard the word recycle. We have heard it from the classroom to the streets. You may think, “Why am I even reading this because recycling does not affect me in any way?” You are totally wrong.
Just stop and ask yourself questions like, “Do I ever drink from a plastic bottle?” Now ask yourself, “Did I recycle it or did I throw it away?” You probably threw it away. If you recycled it; thank you.
When you throw plastic on the ground or in the trash, it takes millions of years to decompose and go away. Most litter ends up in a storm drain, which sends it to a nearby water source where it gets mixed in with our clean drinking water and contaminates it. Then people get sick. If we don’t do something about this, we will ruin our own future.
We need your help. Start recycling now.
