In response to the tragedy in Boston, I've noticed that a few right wing pundits and their adherents are now, in their latest attempts at fear-mongering, calling for the regulation of and background checks for purchase of pressure cookers. Because pressure cookers can be turned into IEDs as easily as say a pipe or a coffee can.
So to be clear, they want to regulate the ownership of and have background checks for purchase of a pressure cooker, but not a gun.
Does this seem exceptionally asinine to anyone else?
