Apparently the government must think that the taxpayer has forgotten about the bailout money given to several large corporations a few years ago such as banks, oil companies, Wall Street, etc.
I, along with a lot of my friends would like to know who hasn’t paid it back. Certainly the oil companies are doing fine although they still keep sacking it to the consumer. The banks are doing great although they give their customers .01 percent on CDs and savings accounts.
Mr. President, tell the taxpayers who hasn’t paid it back yet.

Editor’s note: A number of databases exist for checking on these funds. Federal money handed out as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act can be followed at recovery.gov. A good tracker of bailout funds, including how much has been paid back and by whom, can be found at projects.propublica.org/bailout.
