Letters to the Editor

Online extra letter | Dennis hard worker that Carolina Forest needs

As an avid reader of the Sun News, I have been disgusted by the recent publications that have attempted to discredit Dennis. Before I continue, I must confess that I am not a resident of Carolina Forest and, therefore, cannot vote in the election. However, I can no longer stand by and let a good person, lawyer, and, more importantly, a good friend be disrespected.

Dennis is an outstanding person. He is extremely kind to others - always willing to go the extra mile to help someone in need. He truly cares for his community. From day one, he has been involved in the community trying to make it a better place to live for ALL of its residents.

For others (who,in my opinion, do not even know Dennis) to state that he is a corrupt person and lawyer is outlandish. Dennis is extremely ethical. He understands the principle behind giving your word and then keeping it.

As a fellow lawyer, I am proud to have him as my peer. I am also proud to call him my friend.

Thus, in conclusion, if the residents of Carolina Forest are looking for an honest person willing to fight for the rights of their community and fellow residents - then they must only look to Dennis DiSabato.

He has held his head high throughout the election process. He even had his supporters sign his opponent's petition so the process would be fair to both candidates. His willingness to ensure a fair competition cannot be said about his opponent who informed others not to sign Dennis' petition in an attempt to eliminate his opposition. Now, his opponent is feeding lies through his friends claiming that Dennis cannot be trusted and should not lead Carolina Forest in Columbia.

All I have to say is that I wish Dennis lived in my district as I would love to have someone of his character and someone with his ambition represent me and my family.

The writer lives in Murrells Inlet.
