Re Oct. 20 letter by Charles LeTan, “Creationism trumps science”
Was that a joke?
LeTan says that Copernicus and Galileo were frauds, and that “when theories are at odds with Christian teachings, those theories are wrong.” I am amazed that an excellent writer like Mr. LeTan does not know that the Earth does in fact orbit the sun, and the Greeks were very influential in the development of mathematics philosophy and medicine. I am even more amazed that The Sun News doesn’t seem to know this either.
As the first instruction in The Sun News’ letters to the editor policy says that it avoids publishing “Letters that contain questionable or undocumented facts,” I am left scratching my head. Was this a joke of some sort? Or should I be worried?
