Life is hard, but keep trying

Re Sept. 17 letter by Kristin Olsen, “At least send a rejection letter”

I am 82 years old and have been around the block, a few times. My older (by five years) brother used to say “life at its best is hardly worth living.” He was young and callow at the time.

I was struck by your obvious frustration, feeling of helplessness, and yes anger, at your plight. I can’t offer much but support and understanding. But I do offer this as an attitude – a phase from Frank Sinatra’s song “I pick myself up, dust myself off, and start all over again.”

Try to remember, you are never alone. Good luck to you.
