Rep. Alan Clemmons’ column regarding the construction of I-73 was right on target, stating three very solid reasons for constructing this highway: jobs, tourism and a superior evacuation route. In my opinion, the primary reason for this highway should be to create a safe and efficient evacuation route for our residents. Jobs and tourism are fringe benefits. Let’s get it done.
