Romney’s foreign policy frightening

If you weren’t already scared of the Mitt Romney policies, his recent trip to Israel should scare the “you know what” out of you. This man is telling the world that, if elected, he would have no hesitancy in putting America into another Middle East war.

Romney’s adviser, Dan Senor, told the Israelis, “If Israel has to take action on its own in order to stop Iran from developing that capability; the governor would respect that decision.”

Senor went on to say, “No option would be excluded. Gov. Romney recognizes Israel’s right to defend itself and that it is right for America to stand with it.”

Romney is basically saying to Israel: Go on and start a war with Iran and Americans will fight and die at your side.

In 2007, 16 U.S. Intelligence Agencies published a collective statement saying Iran was not trying to build an atomic bomb. This statement was reportedly confirmed in 2011. Also, the Iran nuclear sites are being monitored by the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Do Romney and his advisers think that they know something the rest of America doesn’t know? If so, show America the proof.

And why would any American ever believe Romney’s advisers? Weren’t so many of these individuals, Dan Senor included, the same people who led America into a war in Iraq?

In 2002, bin Laden stated that his objective was to draw America into an endless war in the Middle East and thereby bankrupt America just as al-Qaida and the Afghan rebels had bankrupted Russia. Romney and his neocon advisers are suggesting that America step up and do exactly what bin Laden hoped for.

Iran is bigger than Iraq and Afghanistan combined and is considered to be the most mountainous nation on the face of the earth. If someone wants an endless war, Iran’s probably a perfect place to hold one.

The Romney plan for America actually appears quite simple. More endless war, just like bin Laden wanted, financed by higher taxes on the “little” guy or gal plus eliminating Obamacare and reducing or eliminating Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid as well as most other social safety net programs. But, no taxing the millionaires.

Sounds to me like a plan to take the America we know and replace it with an America run by and for the super-rich! The worst part of the Republican/neocon plan is that it will result in thousands, maybe even tens of thousands, of young Americans being brought home in body bags from another war.

Haven’t enough innocent young Americans already been sacrificed by the war-mongers? Isn’t it time we tell Mitt and all the politicians that 11 years of continuous war and war-mongering is long enough?
