As I am eating my Chick-fil-A on Aug. 1, I am glancing at the “Celebrating love on a unique day” article, which made me reflect on love, the love of God and love for others.
I can’t understand for the life of me how Issac Bailey can equate God’s love for others with God also loving same-sex marriage. If I remember correctly, an all-loving God cherishes marriage between one man and one woman.
I can’t understand how Mr. Bailey can be so biased against the Chick-fil-A supporters backing Cathy’s statements, which reiterate Old and New Testament tenets.
It would seem that if he had respect for same-sex marriage, he would also have respect for those that choose to believe in a God that only sanctions marriage between a man and a woman. I for one was heartened to see such a turnout at Chick-fil-A and I respect CEO Dan Cathy’s for his stand.
One does not have to agree with another’s lifestyle, religion or life choices, but one can still be respectful when you share God’s love for all.
