Romney, Bain and tax returns, oh my

I can unequivocally state that I don’t care when Mitt Romney left Bain Capital nor do I care about his tax returns. I am tired of hearing the president and his campaign folks harping on these issues while totally ignoring the issues that matter, such as the rotten economy, national debt, runaway spending and the unemployment problem.

When he does speak to these issues, the president usually blames anybody and everybody except himself for the sorry state of our nation even though the Democrats controlled both houses of Congress from 2007 to 2011 and the White House since 2009. George Bush did it, he inherited this mess and it was worse than he thought, etc.

I have a suggestion for Romney. In the interest of transparency, he should extend an offer to Obama to “Let’s Make a Deal.” Romney will release his tax records and Obama will release all the records he has repeatedly refused to release, such as college transcripts, student financial aid records, foreign travel records during his student years, the status of his Illinois law license and the financial records surrounding his real estate deals with a Chicago felon by the name of Tony Rezko. Sounds fair to me.

Our president would not qualify for an entry level mail clerk government job because he could not pass a security clearance background investigation without releasing all of these records and more. Why does the mainstream media continue to give this man a pass?
