We lost our cherished son Keith to heaven on June 24, fittingly, on a Sunday. He was 36 years old with a beautiful wife and his best friend, 5-year-old Maxell, his son. We are all so empty without him.
But that is not the reason for this note.
We have been to a few ceremonies at the beach for those we have lost. But never have we seen such a heartfelt and emotional turnout. Everybody seemed to know what we knew: He was a gentle, considerate and kind soul.
And his surfer buddies with their final salute – I am sure even the shells cried.
Our hearts are yours, Keith, from Hard Rock Cafe and your friends at Calhoun Drive. We are so grateful for knowing you.
Without the company and support from family all over the country who came to bid farewell, I just don’t know how we could have handled this.
You touched so many.
