Level of money in elections is undemocratic

I find it grossly hypocritical and ironic that our country exerts efforts of nation building throughout the world, spending vast sums of money trying to democratize other nations, when we have the most dictatorial election system in the world.

Since the Supreme Court ruling, in January 2010, regarding campaign finance reform, which allows corporations and other entities unlimited monetary contributions to any candidate, our whole election system has changed. Of course the candidates with the most funding have a tremendous advantage over candidates that are not supported by major fund contributors. This dictates that whoever these contributors are, or whatever their reason for donating to a candidate, they control the outcome of the elections.

Welcome to the most democratic nation in the world.
