To all Americans, fly the flag

Remember our fallen heroes this Flag Day. Let’s never forget loved ones who lost their lives on this special day by flying the American flag with pride. Let’s pray for our veterans and families on this special day. The flag pole in front of St. Michaels Church was dedicated on June 14, 1985, It goes out to all of our veterans and families each year. Small flags are placed in front of the base of the flag pole with pride.

At this time I want to honor again the Guardian Angel at St. Michaels School. The statue was put in place and dedicated in 1996. She has been blessed many times. In 2010, there were two solar lights put in place for two of our servants who passed away. On this day, June 14, 2012, there will be one more solar light put in place. An American flag will be installed at each one to honor them for what they did while serving here at St. Michaels.

They honor Monsignor Thomas Duffy, our pastor who passed away in 2010; E.J. Anotol, the contractor who built the campus and who passed away in 2010; and Bill Bleilar, our pastor who just passed away in May of this year. There is a history behind the statue of the Guardian Angel. She is always looking over our school children. On the school building in front it reads “Let the Children Come to Me.”

Visit our statue the Guardian Angel, she is so beautiful.
