Peterson has done good job on board

My husband and I have been blessed to have reared five wonderful daughters. All have been honors graduates from Horry County schools. All of them went on to earn college degrees.

None of them were at any disadvantage as a result of being a graduate from an Horry County high school. In fact, I know that our daughters were well served by the Horry County Schools district.

I am writing to urge voters in District 5 to re-elect Paul Peterson to the Horry County school board. My husband and I have known Paul for 35 years, and we were delighted when he chose to run for the District 5 seat in 2000. Nothing in his 12 years of service on the board has proven to be a disappointment. By all accounts Paul bas played a significant role in promoting the continued excellence of Horry County schools that began under Dr. Gerrita Postlewait and continues today under Dr. Cindy Elsberry.

Paul is bright, well educated and experienced. He always acts in the best interest of Horry County students. The parents of children in District 5 owe it to themselves and to their children to keep Dr. Paul Peterson on the school board.
