Nelson Hardwick has long been a friend of Burgess. Back in the ‘70s, Nelson assisted this community in obtaining potable water and sewer to replace private wells and failing septic tanks. As a matter of fact, South Carolina had classified our community as a health hazard.
Nelson stepped in and began the process to remedy this problem long before we convinced him to run for office. Once Nelson was elected as our state representative, he has continued to represent our interests and works closely with everyone to solve our problems. Rep. Hardwick has a near perfect record of attending our quarterly meetings of the Greater Burgess Community Association. He is readily available and gives his cell number to anyone who asks. And he returns his calls.
I support him for the state House, but I'm more impressed in being able to call him friend. You can trust Nelson Hardwick.
The writer lives in the Burgess community.
