Help after wreck much appreciated
On Aug. 24, a wreck occurred at the Garden City Beach intersection of U.S. 17 Business and the Garden City connector. We thank the Lord there were no serious injuries; however, the very real possibility was definitely there. Thank you to all of those who worked this accident. Thank you to the 911 dispatcher, the Horry County Police officer, the Garden City/Murrells Inlet Fire Rescue team, the S.C. Highway Patrolman and the Waccamaw Community Hospital's emergency room liaison. Thanks again to all of you for all that you do for all of us.
We would also like to thank two very kind young women who, after almost being struck by one of the cars involved, remained for quite some time to give their eyewitness reports.

Clemens deserved a break from media
How sad that Roger Clemens and his wife came here to relax and get away for a short while and all of the media have hounded him. I'm sure he is spending a lot of money here - isn't that what this area is all about, taking all the money from the tourists that we can? Leave the poor guy alone and let him have a few days of peace. He will be going right back to face the music soon enough.
